Nice People

I LOVE getting the mail at Christmas time, all the cute Holiday cards etc. Well today as I was opening the mail I got a lot more than I was expecting. I took a picture of it because a visual is ALWAYS better than just words.
As you can see the card is addressed to Rich and I. I opened it and it just said "Have a Merry Christmas" no name and no name or address on the envelope.
There was a little envelope inside the card that said "open and use before Christmas." It was a $50 Target gift card. I wanted to cry (but I didn't) I was just kind of stunned for a minute and thought...who could have possibly been this thoughtful and sweet?? The thing is, there are SO SO SO many people that popped into my head maybe it was so and so or it could have been so and so...the point I am trying to make here is that we are SO BLESSED and have SO MANY WONDERFUL people in our lives it would be impossible to try and guess who sent it. I didn't recognize the handwriting so I guess we will never know.
In case the person who did this for us reads my blog...thank you SO MUCH!! We really appreciate it so very very much.

Another nice thing that happened this month was a lady where I work was moving and she was trying to sell her full-sized bed. She asked me if I knew anyone who could use it and I couldn't really think of anyone plus she was asking like $400 for it. She just kept asking and going on about it and said she really wanted me to come and look at it.
It was like brand new and in really good shape. She was really worried about getting rid of this bed because she had no where to put it where she was moving. Long story short Alex has needed a new mattress for about 2 year now but you know how high on the priority list that is so of course he has just been using a crappy one.

I told her that Alex did need a new mattress and she was SO EXCITED (honestly you would have thought I had given her something instead of the other way around). She was so happy that it was going to be put to good use that she told me that she wouldn't let me pay her anything for it and that I should come and take it as soon as possible. She just kept thanking me and told me that she was so happy that such a nice family was getting the bed.
She was so nice and generous and we are so thankful for Alex's new mattress. He is so excited and can't wait to sleep in it tonight.

I love stories of mini miracles (Christmas or not). Every miracle small or big is a miracle in my eyes! Merry Christmas!
