Happy New Year!!!

The Summer's hosted the big bash at their house this year!! Alex was with Melissa all day making preparations for the party. He had some very specific ideas in mind and it is a good thing that Melissa is a very patient, loving aunt!!!
Alex really wanted to have a "ball drop" they made a cute tissue paper ball and hung it up on the ceiling!! The decorations were very cute and festive!
The food was so delicious and she went all out with the drinks and dipped all the cups in sugar!! But those were for our "New Years Toast."

Some people really got dressed up for the party!! Alexa, Brooklyn and Brinlie looked beautiful!!!

Steve has been working on the basement and got it done a few days ago. They have a theater room and just outside the theater room...
a popcorn machine and concessions stand...fully loaded!! It is amazing and wonderful, we all enjoyed it alot!
He hooked his PlayStation 3 up in the theater room and we played Rock Band, it was FUN!!!

It was getting close to the countdown so mom got out all her party supplies...hats, horns, confetti, streamers etc.
This is going to be a HUGE mess!!!
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2,
HAPPY 2010!!! Alexa cut the ball and the craziness began!!!

Here's hoping it's a great year!!!
Can't have a party without a little photo shoot!!

The fun continued while the kids rolled around in the mess and threw it in the air and all over everyone!!!

The clean-up was not as bad as it looked and we all helped out so that Steve would let us come back again!! Melissa and Steve were both great sports and excellent hosts!! For sure a night to remember!!

Christmas in Logan

We had a slow drive this morning because the roads were still a little snow packed. I don't mind driving in the snow I just hate that it takes so much longer to get places!!
We beat the Clark's and so we just ate and talked about what everyone had opened so far!

Some fun random shots of people throughout the day!

Max and Jake LOVE to wrestle. Sometimes Jake has to have help getting Max off of him. I really don't want my child to be a wrestler but I may have no choice!!

Jake is usually pretty good about not hurting Max but sometimes he really has to use all his force, Max is a pretty strong kid!

We opened some presents and then we all went downstairs and had a "Bethlehem Dinner."

We watched the movie of Christ's birth and ate on blankets spread out all over the floor. We ate the things that they would have eaten back then...pita bread, nuts, grapes, raisins and grape juice. It was a really neat thing to do and really made us all remember the reason for the celebration!

After that we headed back upstairs to finish opening gifts. My mom likes to make it last all day. It is kind of exhausting and the kids are always asking "are there more presents?"

We all got really spoiled by my parents (as usual) and had a great time seeing what all the kids got.

My parents got the kids a...
Wii!!! They have been wanting one for a while now and Alex was super excited!!
Rich got a Wii fit, he wasn't really sure what it was but it is a workout game and I think he will really like it!
I got an iPod touch!! YIPPEE, I really wanted this but was not expecting it at all.

We had a wonderful (tiring) day and I didn't want it to end but as you know, all good things come to an end eventually.

Merry Christmas

Here is what the house looked like after Santa came. I took a few pictures before Rich and I went to bed.
Here is Max's stuff.
Here is Alex and Alexa's stuff.

The kids woke up at about 8:30am and came in to wake us up!
We had to put up the sheets so they wouldn't get any ideas before we were all ready!!

Santa left the kids each a cute stuffed animal by their stockings. I think they liked them!

Here is Max, he got some really cool stuff this year. He loved his light saver and especially his "monster truck" that turns into an ape!!! He also got the dragon castle that he really wanted too!! He got a little bit spoiled I think!!

Alex got some computer and video games and movies, he also some some play dough kits because he loves them!!

Alexa got a camera and movies and clothes.

All the kids got Zhu Zhu pets. They were the "hot" toy of the year and sold out everywhere. They are little motorized hamsters that make noises and move around!

Here is Rich enjoying watching the kids open their gifts. I got Rich a watch and he got me the same one!!! I had NO idea that he was giving me the watch, he wanted us to be twins. He also built me a white polar bear that says "I love you Angela" (in his voice) when you squeeze the paw. I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!

We all had a great morning and then we got the car loaded up and headed to Logan!!
