Cope Christmas Party

Every year Rich's Mom has a party the first Monday of December. It is always alot of fun. She usually has Santa come but he was really busy this year so we did some different things instead.

We ate Lasagna and Pasta with salad and bread for dinner. It was really good and for dessert we had cookies.

After dinner the adults tied some fleece blankets for the Women's Shelter and the kids made Christmas cards for the Soldiers and also decorated bags to put candy in for needy kids. I really liked doing these projects and think that it was a really nice thing to do as a family. Santa Claus is great but let's face it that is just not what this holiday is really about!

When all the projects were done Grandma Cope gave each family a bundle of Christmas books. The kids were really excited to read the books. I love Christmas books!!

We practiced singing some Christmas carols and then headed over to Great Grandpa and Grandma Cope's house to sing to them. They don't get out of the house much anymore and they were really glad to see us all!! The singing could have been better but we did our best. Grandpa fell asleep a few times but Grandma really loved it and was a little emotional.
Everyone was there (except Jennifer's family, they had another party) and we had a really great night and I am so thankful for Norma and all her hard work organizing this party it was a success!
