Alex is responsible for all the decorating of our house. He did such a great job and had so much fun doing it. He got his love for this kind of stuff from my mom who goes crazy decorating for holidays.

Halloween House
My Alex LOVES Halloween so much!!! He started asking me mid September if we could start getting decorations out. I held him off as long as I could but I ended up letting him just go to town. He spends every afternoon on the computer watching youtube clips of haunted houses or on halloween store websites looking for new decorations.

Fifteen Years OLD!
Today my oldest child, Alexa turned "15" and I am not sure how that happened. How can it be that 15 years have gone by so quickly?? I knew this was coming and everything but did not expect it to get here so fast. I think this marks the end of "life as I know it." Alexa is very anxious about getting some pamphlet from the DMV and taking some test to get her DRIVING PERMIT!!! Yes, that's right people...driving at 15 (with a parent of course, but still) man have things changed!! I am not sure I am going to survive this!!
Enough of that, here is what her birthday consisted of:
Rich woke up early and headed to the gas station to buy her favorite donut. She went to school and some of her 10th grade buddies brought her balloons and a bag of Kit Kat's and yelled happy birthday really loud and embarrassed her!!
I took this photo after school, the flowers arrived at school as well and she has no idea who they are from...
I texted Rich to see if maybe he sent them (because it seems like something he would do) but it wasn't him. She really has no idea who it was and it drove her crazy!! So if by chance the sender of the flowers reads my blog, she really loved them and would love to properly thank you for them herself!!
I got her favorite lunch and took it to her at school, Sonic onion rings and an orange cream slush. I also wanted to buy her balloons to embarrass her but ran out of time so I was glad to see the girl inside Sonic blowing up balloons and asked if I could have a few!!!
She met me out in the parking lot and I tied them on her wrist and told her she had to wear them all day!
The kids did their homework after school and Alexa had a great time using her iTunes gift cards buying new music for her iPod. We went to Provo to check out a place that has colored contacts. She has been asking me for them for a few weeks and I checked 2 places and had no luck. Well, she finally found some and so I bought them for her, more on that later.
Rich met us at Training Table for dinner. That was Alexa's pick, which I thought was a pretty strange request since it is not a place we go to that often but she was really craving cheese fries!
There were not many people there and after I took these pictures Alexa and Alex went wild with the camera!
This is the only "cute one." The rest are just completely crazy!
The sad thing is, this isn't even all of them.
I put Max in the middle of all these crazy "Alex" pictures because Max really wanted no part in the picture taking at all!
We finally left and made a quick stop at Sub Zero for dessert. We brought it home to eat since we were all still full from dinner. It was getting late so we brought out the presents!!!

Alexa has been wanting NIKE high tops for a long time now. I came across these at Ross and wasn't sure if they were the "right ones" but she LOVED them and I was so glad!!!
The big gift of the night was these babies...
tickets to "So You Think You Can Dance" tour. She had mentioned lots of times that she really wanted to go to this and I have wanted to go as well. Thank goodness that treadmill I won back in the spring sold (yes, I got $275 for a free treadmill) so I was able to really surprise her with these tickets. The show is in November and you know I will post about it so stay tuned!!
The night ended with Alexa trying on her new colored contacts.
She bought aquamarine but because her eyes are so dark they weren't as noticeable as she thought they would be and was a little disappointed. I tried asking the girl at the store about that before we bought them but she "no speak english" and did not understand what I was saying!!
I am so lucky to have Alexa for a daughter and she is a wonderful big sister!! I hope she had a very memorable 15th birthday!!!

Logan Party
Rich, Alexa and I arrived at 5pm. Alex and Max were both happy to see us (mainly because I told them if they were both really good while we were gone I would buy them a surprise). In fact that was the first thing Max said to me. "Mom, I was a really, really good boy, where is my surprise?" I missed them both but I am so glad that they were able to stay with my family in Logan and have so much fun with them!!
Alexa ordered homemade fettucini alfredo and breadsticks so that is what we had for dinner!! It was delish (the sauce was a bit runny but tasted really good). We missed the Summer's family and Dave but everyone else was there.
After dinner it was party time!!!
This cute shirt is from the Harris's along with some denim jeggings.
Monica found these shoes in Salt Lake and they totally scream ALEXA!! She loved them!
She got this new game for the Wii and some other cute outfits, a book and 2 iTunes giftcards, that is all I can remember but I am sure I am missing something.
For dessert we had homemade asphalt pie and it was scrumptious!! We hung out for a while and the Summer's came after the party so we visited with them for a bit. We left after 9pm so we got home really late but it was a good day!!

St. George Getaway
I did not take ANY pictures all weekend...not sure how that happened!!! So here is a long pictureless post!
Wednesday after school me and the boys loaded up and headed for Logan. Alexa stayed home because she had a few parties that she did not want to miss out on. She stayed with her friend Paizlee all weekend. I had a few errands to run on our way so we ended up getting there at dinner time. Some people ate Wok on Wheels some ate Wendy's and some Arby's. I have been craving WOW and it was tasty, so tasty that I over did it and was really full all night. Jake had a sleepover too so that was fun to hang with him. Alex ended up falling asleep in my mom's bed, Jake and dad went downstairs to watch 24 and Max and I snuggled in the living room and watched Transformers.
Thursday morning me, dad and the boys went on a donut run and I left shortly after. Alex and Max get to stay and play with the Oliver's while Rich and I have our birthday getaway in St. George. Rich worked for a few hours and was supposed to be home at 1pm...he was late and I got impatient and was a little bit crabby by the time we finally left. We stopped in Nephi for a late lunch. I had Taco Time and Rich had Quiznos. There wasn't much traffic and the drive was pretty uneventful. I pulled out an old CD that I made for Rich back when we were dating and he was driving to Logan alot. It was TERRIBLE!!! Let's see if I can remember some of the songs I belted out for him...Don't Stop Believin', More than Words, Endless Love, Making Love out of Nothing at All, When You Say Nothing at All...and so on and so on. I was belting them all out and Rich even joined me on a few. Man, it was only 7 yrs ago I made that CD, what was I thinking?? Oh well it put me in a better mood. We finally got there around 5:30pm and checked into the Holiday Inn. Not the best but it was fine. We walked around the outlets for a little bit and went to Ross and Target. We weren't really hungry for dinner so we decided to go see a movie and have popcorn. We saw Wallstreet, Money Never Sleeps. It was a bit long and kind of slow but it was pretty good and the popcorn was delicious!!! After that we just headed back to the hotel and called it a night!
Friday morning we slept in a bit and went to IHOP for a late breakfast, early lunch. We made appointments for massages at 2:00pm. We got a couple's massage and it was so nice. It has been a while since we had one and it was very relaxing. We headed to the room to get showered and ready for our big night. We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and Rich got a whole rack of ribs, they were SO yummy. We got tickets for Tarzan at Tuacahn. It was the last night of the show and neither of us had ever been to a show there. I was blown away by the theater and the show. I wish we would have gotten there earlier so we could have walked around and taken in the beauty of our surroundings. We got there just in time for the show to start. It was amazing and so fun to watch. I got really emotional a few times and cried like a baby. I can't wait to come back again to see another show!! After it was over we decided to go to a midnight movie. We saw The Social Network and it was good. We got to bed really late, like 3ish but it was a great day!!!
Saturday morning we slept in again. Neither one of us could think of somewhere to eat so we drove around a bit and then finally just went to Bajio. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool reading and napping and swimming. It was heavenly! Rich wanted to check out a running store so I walked across the street to Kmart. We had Chili's for dinner and then went to Spirit (Halloween store) to get Max his surprise, a storm trooper costume. We went back to the hotel and sat in the hot tub for a while and then played pool. Then we went on a walk for a while and stopped at the gas station for a drink. I got in the shower and Rich went to get us stuff for breakfast. We watched Terminator on TV and fell asleep.
Sunday morning we woke up later than I wanted and Rich took a 45 minute shower so we were off to a late start. We left at 11am and got a flat tire just outside of Fillmore so we could only do 60 mph the rest of the way home. We picked up Alexa and then jumped in the van for 2 more hours of driving.
Rich and I really had a great, much needed weekend away together and I am so grateful that we are able to do things like this every once in a while.
Alex and Max enjoyed the weekend as well. Max slept at Harris's one night and Monica's the next. Alex had a sleepover with the Summer's and got to go to the Bear River Bottom's corn maze and haunted river trail...he had a blast!! I am so glad that my family is always so willing to watch and entertain my kids for me!!

To celebrate my birthday and Cora's birthday some of us got together for a delicious lunch at a great new place in the Riverwood's. The food was so delicious and the lemon cake was the best I've had! We had a great time chatting and eating, I am so luck to have such great friends!!!

Annual Girls Night
I checked the kids out of school a little early and we headed up to Logan. Rich decided to stay home by himself for the weekend. I had to make some stops on the way for pumpkin spice donuts from Krispy Kreme and pies from Marie Calendar's. We got to Logan about 4:30 and hung out for a bit.
All the men and kids got pizza and went to Clark's house to watch the Aggie game (Dave and Jake were at the game). USU vs. BYU on ESPN...guess who dominated??? AGGIES WIN!!! We watched some of it as we were enjoying our dinner.
OK back to the important stuff. All the men and kids were busy at Clark's so all us sisters piled into mom's van and headed to Maddox. It is our yearly tradition and it is still going strong!
We ate and it was delicious, we laughed really loudly (Amberly thought Melissa was drunk, she was laughing so loud and hard). We shared mom's free piece of raspberry cream birthday pie, then we discovered something new...PHOTO OP
Amy loved this couch and wanted to do a "serious" picture!
We were at the restaurant for way too long and completely wore out our welcome, but we had a great time and burned off most of our calories from dinner by laughing so hard!
We headed to Wal Mart, another tradition. We stayed there too long as well. We kind of separated and while I was off looking at something else I guess Amy and Melissa put on Halloween masks and chased my mom around the store. She is a fraidy cat and was running away from them while screaming. I am just waiting for Melissa to blog about it and then I will steal some of her pictures!! Melanie introduced us to a fun new game to play while at Wal Mart. You take something off the shelf or rack (something soft and un-breakable) and throw it at someone as hard as you can while yelling "JENGA" Amb was a big fan of this game and thought she was hilarious!
We got done at Wal Mart stopped at the gas station for drinks and headed to Sherwood Hills to check in. It was probably 11pm by the time we got there. We bought peach cream pie from Maddox and took it to go cause we were all full after dinner so we had our late night snack and watched some bad TV. There was nothing on so we ended up watching some old, lame movie with Mark Wahlberg called FEAR. It was terrible!! We finally hit the sack at about 3am.
We woke up at 9am and enjoyed our pumpkin spice donuts for breakfast. We turned on Conference and listened while we were getting ready for the day. We decided to go to a movie and so we hurried and got ready and only had time for 1 fireplace picture before we left.
Usually we sit around in the lobby for a long time and give mom her birthday gifts but since her birthday isn't until next week we didn't do that this year.
We saw "You Again" in Providence and it was a cute movie! We went to old Navy and then headed up to mom's to see our children. Dad took Alex and Max on a hike to "Castle Rock" while Alexa stayed behind and showered. Then they all went to the Halloween store and then to the Clark's again.
We had a great time on our overnighter and I am so glad that my dad was nice enough to take care of my kiddos for me!!!
