Picture-less Weekend

I didn't take any pictures...all weekend, what is wrong with me???

On Thursday night we headed up to Logan for the weekend. There is no school tomorrow so it is an extra day!! We took Rich's car and the kids weren't too happy about that because they don't have as much room but it worked out just fine. We stopped for dinner at "chicken donalds" (that is what Max calls McDonald's). He got a spiderman toy in his kids meal and played with it the whole way up to Logan.
We rolled in around 9pm and the Harris's were just leaving. We chatted for a bit and then headed downstairs to watch "Better Off Dead". It has been a really long time since I have seen this movie...it did not disappoint!!!
We got up on Friday morning and Rich went for a run and we watched the Aggie's loose by 1 point in the first round...crappy!!! Well I can't say that I really watched because it was such a nice day that I sat out on the porch soaking up the sun. We decided to have our dad grill us up some hot dogs for lunch so we could have a little picnic in the sunshine. They were delicious. We stayed outside most of the day...the kids were riding bikes and playing basketball and I got started on a new book. We went downtown to a few stores and then had Taco Salad for dinner. Alexa and Mckenzie went home with the Harris's for a sleepover. Me Monica and Alex met them at Walmart for the Twilight party at 11:30pm!! We actually went to 3 of them and they were all really lame, I bought the movie though and we did have some fun at the Borders party. Rich met us and we went to have a sleepover in Monica's new house in Smithfield.
We woke up about 9:30am, Rich got a call from his sister Janean and she gave him the news that Grandpa Cope had passed away about 2:30am. He went peacefully in his sleep. It was expected and Rich had prepared himself for it and it was for the best but it is still hard loosing someone you love.
We headed to Richmond to Melissa's for a short run. We ran 3 miles and it was a really beautiful morning. Alex hung out at Melissa's while she showered and got ready. Me, Monica and Rich headed back to Smithfield. Monica got in the shower, I read on her back porch and Rich started running back to his car...I guess the 3 mile "jog" wasn't a good enough work out for him!! We were just going to pick him up on our way back into town but we never saw him, he made it all the way back to his car and had to wait for us!!! We went to lunch at Old Grist Mill and had sandwiches and then went to the mall and a few other places. We played some "Nertz" and then had bbq chicken pizza for dinner (it sounds like all we did is eat)!!! Everyone left...Alexa went with Melissa. Max wanted to watch "Little Mermaid" for the 5th time so I went down and watched it with him.
Sunday we went to church with Mom and Dad and then went to the office to watch Monica clean. We watched Twilight and played some more "Nertz". Dad made us yummy burgers and we had a cook out inside, potato salad, baked beans the works...it was delicious!! We headed for home about 9:oopm.
We had a great weekend and love spending time with family!
